Great news! Three of my paintings have been selected for THE SOCIETY OF BOTANICAL ARTIST EXHIBITION. The exhibition is on from 11th to 21st April at Westminster Hall
I exhibited some paintings with the FRIENDS OF HOLLAND PARK, held in the Orangery in March 2013. A review written in the Friends of Holland Park magazine by Alison Beckett, Summer 2013, refers to one of my painting as being “stunningly bold”. This was my first review, very short, but I quite like it.
One of my paintings was selected by RICHMOND THEATRE as part of an exhibition to coincide with their production of “Pitmen Painters” . The theme of the exhibition was to depict life in and around Richmond. My painting was of a Water Lily which I found in the Water Lily conservatory at Kew Gardens. All of the painters were invited to the first night then to meet the cast and press afterwards. It was a lovely evening and the play was excellent.
A selection of my work can be seen in the PALACE GREEN GALLERY at Hatfield House Hertfordshire. It will be on display for an indefinite period. The gallery is very charming and set within the historic courtyard of the beautiful Hatfield House, well worth a visit.
I have included a second Gallery to my website called “Pen and Watercolour Paintings”. This is for a range of free style work I have introduced to run alongside my Acrylic paintings. I have decided to do them approximately A4 size and smaller. Like my Acrylic paintings they look good mounted in off white card.
I now have a range of greeting cards printed from a selection of my paintings. I can print them to order in a variety of sizes, with envelopes.
A year has passed ! It`s been an interesting year and I`ve had work in 30 exhibitions, some good some disappointing. the highlight was selling a painting at the Society of Botanical Artists in April. Its was wonderful being selected to exhibit, but to sell was amazing.
My work can be seen at :
The Gallery at Hatfield House, a lovely gallery in a beautiful setting
The Riverside Gallery Barnes in September
I exhibited at SBA and sold one of my paintings , very pleased because it was the only one they selected to hang.
Brompton Hospital until September
I have done a few one day shows where my cards sell quite well, particularly my had painted ones. Rosslyn Hall in Hampstead holds small one day shows, well worth a visit .
I sold my Magnolia at Brompton Hospital, which was the only sale, so I was very pleased
I`m doing a couple of Christmas one day Markets, Barclays Bank Greenford on the 16th December 2014
and St Martin`s Church Fair at Gospel Oak NW5 on 20th December 2014………Both worth a visit
The high point of my year is being , being accepted as a member of the Society of Floral Painters, so I can now add SFP as well as NDD to my profile !!
The year starts well with a few sales at small one day exhibitions and markets. Very pleased my printed cards as well as my hand painted ones are proving to be popular.
One painting selected for the browser at the Orleans House “View’s of Richmond ” exhibition. Surprised they selected one of my works because it wasn`t a view just a water lily painted from one I saw at Kew Gardens. Princess Alexandra opened the Exhibition and liked my painting !
Very pleased, SBA have selected four of my paintings for the April Exhibition in Westminster Central Hall.
The Riverside at Barnes is showing a couple of my paintings in April
I still have work on display in The Gallery at Hatfield House Herts,
